Paul Ma is an economist and accounting researcher whose work focuses on the economics of information and corporate disclosure. His research has appeared in leading journals such as The Accounting Review, Journal of Financial Economics, JAMA Internal Medicine, and Review of Economics and Statistics. He has also consulted with the SEC on disclosure issues and the information acquisition practices of EDGAR users, and previously worked as a high-frequency trader.
At Bryant, he currently teaches Cost Accounting and Governmental Accounting. In previous roles, he has taught courses in undergraduate financial accounting, MSBA and executive education programs in accounting and data science, and doctoral seminars on the economics of information.
Before joining Bryant, Professor Ma was a faculty member at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. He earned his PhD in Economics from Stanford University and his BA in Economics with honors from the University of Chicago.
