| Description: | The Bryant community is invited to a semester-long Social Entrepreneurship Speaker Series
The first speaker on Wednesday, February 25, is Navyn Salem, founder and director of Industrial Revelation, a non-government organization headquartered in Tanzania. The organization works to bring production of a high quality, nutritional supplement to Tanzania. Called Plumpy Nut, this supplement has been featured on 60 Minutes. Salem's vision is to establish factories that would produce the supplement closer to the source of need. The talk begins at 2 pm in the Bryant Center, Room 2A&B. More about her work can be found at Industrial Revelation. On Wednesday, March 25, Bryant will host Rodney North from Equal Exchange. A pioneer in the field of fair trade, Equal Exchange works with local farmers and co-ops throughout the world to create sustainable livelihoods. Consumers can purchase fair trade coffee, chocolate, tea, and other products that represent more income for farmers and workers. The talk begins at 2 pm in the Bryant Center, South Dining Room. The series concludes on Thursday, April 9, as Eric Lewandowski, a 2005 Bryant graduate, will be visiting campus to talk about the work of Ashoka, one of the premier organizations fostering social entrepreneurship on a global scale. Ashoka fellows are among the world's most visionary and effective social innovators. The talk begins at 1 pm in the Bryant Center, Room 2A&B. To learn more, visit Ashoka.
