  • Member of the Governing Council, American Political Science Association, September 2002 to present.
  • Co-winner of the 1998 Albert Hourani Prize for outstanding original scholarly book on the Middle East, awarded by the Middle East Studies Association.
  • Recipient of Bryant College Annual Faculty Research Award, 1999.
