This semester, the Bryant Bulldogs welcome two new coaches:
Trish Hillery, men's and women's cross country / track &
field coach
A 1989 graduate of Providence College, Hillery was a four-year
standout member of the Friars' cross country and track & field
teams for coach Ray Treacy. During her career, Hillery placed in the
top 10 in all four BIG EAST Conference Cross Country Championships
and captained the Friars' cross country team to the 1989 conference
championship.
An all-conference academic selection in 1988, Hillery placed
second in the 10,000 meters at BIG EAST Conference Outdoor
Championships.
Mike Pressler, men's lacrosse
A 1982 graduate of Washington and Lee University in Lexington,
Virginia, Pressler was a four-year starter for both the football and
lacrosse teams. A member of the school's Hall of Fame, Pressler
served as team captain for both sports as a senior. In lacrosse,
Pressler started each of his first years on attach, scoring 59
points on 22 goals and 37 assists.
Following graduation, Pressler served as an assistant lacrosse
coach at Army and was the head coach at VMI and Ohio Wesleyan before
his first year at Duke in 1991, where he coached for the past 16
seasons.
A three-time A.C.C. Coach of the Year and 2005 U.S.I.L.A.
National Coach of the Year, Pressler's overall head coaching record
stands at 229-102 in 22 seasons.
