Bryant University hosts visiting scholars from other academic institutions abroad to engage in collaborative research projects while taking advantage of Bryant University faculty expertise and resources. Departments and individual faculty member may invite international faculty researchers from other universities to come to Bryant on J-1 Exchange Visa which is designed to increase mutual understanding between the local and international communities at Bryant through education and cross-cultural exchange.
Currently, the Department of Marketing, Department of Science and Technology, and the U.S.-China Institute are hosting visiting professors and researcher scholars from China and South Korea. Recently, the Department of Accounting and the Department of Science and Technology hosted research scholars from China.
Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) facilitates the visa administration processes and supports host faculty and departments by managing the immigration procedures involved in admitting international researchers and visiting professors. OISS also serves as general resource to visiting scholars while providing essential services to ensure the quality of exchange visitors’ experience at Bryant University. Visiting scholars have many opportunities to engage in intercultural programs offered by OISS to promote cross-cultural exchange both on- and off-campus.
