Community Service
Bryant encourages all students to engage in service activities on-campus and throughout the greater community. Volunteering helps develop leadership skills, fosters a great sense of pride, and allows students to help improve the lives of others.
Students interested in volunteering their time and skills can join service clubs and organized activities, including:
- Alternative Spring Break
Forgo a week of fun in the sun to take part in service opportunities organized by Campus Ministry and the Center for Student Involvement. - Big Brothers and Big Sisters
Improve the life of a child by volunteering your time to be their mentor and friend. - Bryant Builds (Habitat for Humanity)
Help build a new home for a family in need. - Bryant Helps
Join fellow students interested in organizing activities and events that serve the communities around Bryant. - Bulldogs Building Bridges
Develop Bryant's role in the community by contributing agencies and organizations throughout Rhode Island. - Raise Your Voice Week
"Raise Your Voice" is a national campaign that encourages students to take part in the political process. Events are geared around issues critical to our democracy. - Service Council
The Council is a collection of service oriented student groups that meet monthly to discuss and support different service opportunities on and off campus and includes these organizations. - Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program
Students can enhance their accounting skills while helping people at the same time. The IRS-sponsored VITA program trains students to prepare taxes for low-and-moderate income people in the state. Bilingual students are encouraged to apply.
