Bryant Earns Top National Rankings, Rises to No. 3 in Business in USA Today/College Factual

Bryant’s innovative education continues to rise in major national rankings with impressive results out this week. The University was ranked No. 3 in the nation for business by USA Today/College Factual, and continues among the top 10 Regional Universities North in the 2018 U.S. News & World Report  rankings released today. Bryant was also named one of the best schools in the country for veterans at No. 3 in the U.S. News rankings. 

Ranked No. 3 by USA Today/College Factual: Business, International Business, and Marketing, with Accounting at No. 4 in the country. 

According to USA Today /College Factual, Bryant ranks in the top 10 percent of all schools in the U.S. In addition to Business, Bryant’s prestigious programs in International Business and Marketing also rank at No. 3, with Accounting at No. 4. in the country. 

Bryant’s overall ranking of 120 (out of 1,382 schools) is a nine-point increase over the previous year, and a jump of 12 spots since 2014 when USA Today and College Factual first partnered to provide analytics, insights, and rankings to help students find their “best-fit” education. Bryant stands out as No. 2 in Rhode Island, No. 27 in New England, and is a “Best College for the Money” at all levels.

Bryant graduates are among the highest paid  in the areas of Entrepreneurship (8), Human Resources (19), Finance/Financial Management (22), Applied Mathematics (22), International Business (25), Marketing (38), and Computer Information Systems (34), and Business Administration (49).

College Factual found that “with a degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics, students at Bryant have the opportunity to earn an SAS Certificate in data mining, giving them an edge after graduation.

Other programs in the top 15 percent or better for highest paid graduates include: Business (Management, Marketing), Accounting, Communication & Journalism, Communication & Media Studies, History, Mathematics & Statistics, Social Sciences, Political Science & Government, and Sociology.

Graduates of Bryant’s Accounting program “have a dynamic understanding of accounting and are prepared for a career in a challenging field. They typically earn an average starting salary of $52,000 and mid-career salaries of $80,000,” reports College Factual. According to PayScale survey data, a student who graduates from Bryant with a degree in  International Business  will make average mid-career earnings of $90,000. This is 33.6% above the average graduate's mid-career salary of $67,000.

An analysis of Political Science Programs in Rhode Island showed that “It's hard to find a better school than Bryant University if you wish to study Political Science & Government. Political science students from Bryant University receive an earnings boost of approximately 11.1 percent over the typical income of political science & government majors.” Bryant’s Politics and Law  program was ranked at No. 3 in Rhode Island.

In other rankings news, the Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Ranking 2018 placed Bryant at No. 184 out of 1054 institutions nationwide. This is a jump of eight points from the previous year. Bryant also made the Forbes “America’s Top Colleges” list, coming in at No. 183 in the U.S.  

Princeton Review has once again included Bryant in its list of the top 382 schools in the United States and the Top 229 Schools in the Northeast. Bryant is also featured in the Princeton Review Guide to 375 Green Colleges.  

The college search platform CollegeRaptor.com named Bryant one of the Northeast Region’s “Hidden Gem” schools.
