Bryant CEO one of top four chapters in the U.S.
Members of the Bryant Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization traveled to Kansas City, MO, with the aim of retaining the title of National Best Chapter. Had they succeed, it would have be the chapter's sixth win in the last nine years.
The organization qualified for the final round after submitting a video that featured its greatest accomplishments over the past year. Bryant was one of four chapters to be nominated for the award out of the 400 that applied.
With more than 150 members, Bryant CEO sponsors several events every year, including:
- two elevator pitch competitions;
- a regional entrepreneurship conference that draws approximately 200 students;
- an annual “app-a-thon” where students present detailed concepts and designs for campus smart phone apps;
- community service projects.
“Being recognized as a finalist and having the opportunity to present in order to defend our title as the CEO National Best Chapter means so much to everyone involved in the organization,” says Ashley Chabot ’16, president of Bryant CEO. “It proves our hard work and efforts have really made an impression beyond our university, and we plan to continue this for future years to come.”
"Our hard work and efforts have really made an impression beyond our university."
The organization was required to submit a video that featured its greatest accomplishments over the past year, and explained why the chapter should be awarded the title of “Outstanding Overall CEO Chapter.” Bryant was one of four chapters to be nominated for the award out of the 400 that applied.
At the conference, members from each of the four finalist chapters will have five to eight minutes to present information about why their organization deserves the award. Presenting with Chabot are Jackie Canal, James Grant, and Chelsey Mancini, all members of the Class of 2016.
