Bryant senior a finalist in international analytics competition
Yahui Zheng ’15 was selected as a finalist in the Teradata Student Analytics Competition and at presented at the Teradata Partners Conference in Anaheim, CA in October. The international contest is held to advance the use of analytics in business and recognizes students with superior analytics education and academic excellence.
The competition asks students to present their findings on how select cultural organizations can improve their fundraising, better serve their audiences, and increase the cost-effectiveness of their operations. Zheng’s project was titled “How Big Data is Used in the Accounting Field.
Other finalists included students from Canada, Thailand and Australia and schools such as Carnegie Mellon, Loyola Chicago and Cal Polytechnic among others. For being selected as a finalist, Zheng and her faculty advisor, Professor of Computer Information Systems Suhong Li, Ph.D. received scholarships to attend the conference.
