Former Shark Tank judge to speak March 4 at entrepreneurship conference
SMITHFIELD, RI – Bryant’s Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization (CEO) will host the sixth annual Bryant University Northeast Entrepreneurship Conference (BUNEEC) on Saturday, March 4 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Bryant University.
BUNEEC is one of the region’s largest educational events for young entrepreneurs with more than 500 students from northeast colleges and universities expected to attend. The event is open to the public, with free admission for Bryant students, faculty, and staff.
Kevin Harrington, a successful entrepreneur for more than 40 years and an original judge on the hit ABC show Shark Tank, is the featured keynote and is scheduled to speak at 4:50 p.m. Harrington is the inventor of the infomercial and is an “As Seen on TV” pioneer who has launched more than 500 products resulting in more than $5 billion in sales worldwide.
Other notable speakers include Radha Agrawal, founder and CEO of Super Sprowtz, a children’s nutrition education company that has engaged more than a million children to make better food choices; and Bryant alumnus Dave Greco ’00, Season three Shark Tank contestant, successful entrepreneur, and sales executive. The agenda also includes smaller breakout sessions and workshops.
BUNEEC aims to help aspiring entrepreneurs "expand their horizons,” says Bryant CEO President Joshua Velez ’17. “An entrepreneurial mind can really set you apart in the job market."
Bryant’s Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization attracts leaders and highly motivated students who organize annual events that attract and enrich student entrepreneurs from all over the country. In November, CEO was honored as one of the top three chapters in the nation.
