The Gertrude Meth Hochberg Women's Center is committed to enhancing the quality of life for the community of women at Bryant University and providing a forum for discussing issues facing women in business and society.
About our namesake
Gertrude Meth Hochberg broke the glass ceiling at Bryant. As vice president for public relations and as an ardent advocate for women’s equality, she helped to promote the University’s focus on educating and empowering women to achieve fulfilling careers.
Empowering women in Haiti
Her coursework at Bryant and her affiliation with the Gertrude Meth Hochberg Women's Center launched Nastazia Coirin '13 on a path to help women gain visibility in leadership positions.
Women, Gender and Sexuality
Courses offered as part of Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies, as well as resources offered through the Hochberg Women's Center, led Stephanie Griffith '13 to a directed study of campus climate as it relates to homophobia and LGBTQ issues.
