Sophomore International Experience Winter 2007
Bryant sophomores spend winter break abroad in new program
After enjoying the holidays with family, more than 100 Bryant students will travel overseas this January as participants in Bryant's inaugural Sophomore International Experience. They will spend two weeks learning about other cultures and how businesses operate globally.
Students and faculty from each trip will share their experiences abroad in daily blogs.
Three trips will take place concurrently:

A tour of China, with stops in Beijing, Wuhan, and Shanghai led by Professor Hong Yang, director of the U.S. China Institute. Students will explore cultural, environmental, and business sites such as Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City, Shanghai Stock Exchange, and the Three Gorges Dam.
-
A tour of Latin America, with stops in In Colon, Panama and Quito, Ecuador led by Lorna J. Hunter, vice president for enrollment management, and Abraham Hunter, special assistant to the vice president for student affairs. Students will study the local ecology in the rainforests, and the cultural, political, and economic impact of the Panama Canal.
-
A tour of Western Europe with stops in Paris, London, and Rome led by Deans David Lux and Jack Trifts. Students will visit the BMW Mini Cooper manufacturing plant and the Vatican Museum, as well as many other cultural, business, and governmental sites.
