Beta Gamma Sigma welcomes new inducteesBryant congratulates this year's inductees for their achievements.Every spring, Bryant's Beta Gamma Sigma chapter honors students who are eligible for membership into this prestigious society. Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest national recognition a student in business can receive in an undergraduate or master's program at a school accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). To qualify, they must have an academic ranking in the top seven percent (for juniors), top 10 percent (for seniors), or top 20 percent (for master's-level students). Abhijit Chaudhury, professor of computer information systems, was this year's faculty inductee at Bryant. Beta Gamma Sigma also awards a scholarship to a student who demonstrates exceptional leadership and community service, academic excellence, and overall achievement. Last year's winner, Katherine Lee Araujo '07, presented the scholarship to Apryl Silva '09, of East Providence, R.I. This year's ceremony featured guest speaker John Bly '01, founding partner of Toler, Bly & Associates, CPA, PLLC. Bly, a 2001 Bryant alumnus who studied accounting and computer information systems, is also a Beta Gamma Sigma member through Bryant and was the scholarship recipient in 2000. He lives with his wife, Darci (Brown), also a 2001 alumna, in Charlotte, North Carolina. For more information about Beta Gamma Sigma, visit http://www.bryant.edu/bgs This year's inductees:
