Bryant seeks nominations for award honoring efforts to promote study of Chinese language and culture
The first Bryant Confucius/Lenovo Achievement Award will be presented on Feb. 7 during the Chinese New Year celebration at Bryant.

The Confucius Institute at Bryant University, in partnership with Lenovo, the world's fourth-largest computer maker, is accepting nominations for the Bryant Confucius/Lenovo Achievement Award, which will be presented for the first time on Saturday, February 7, during the Chinese New Year celebration that will be held on the Bryant campus.
The award was created to recognize an individual or group for outstanding efforts to promote the study of the Chinese language and culture in Southern New England. The prize is the newest model in Lenovo's IdeaCenter K series.
The deadline to submit nominations is 5 p.m. on Friday, January 30. For more information or to have a nomination form sent to you, contact Kun Xie program coordinator for the Confucius Institute at 401-232-6883.
Established in October 2006, the Confucius Institute at Bryant University was the first China-funded institute in Southern New England dedicated to the promotion of Chinese language and culture. This joint project between Bryant University and the Office of Chinese Language Council International (Hanban) offers resources to benefit students, educators, individuals, and businesses in Rhode Island and the local region.
Named after the revered Chinese thinker, educator, and philosopher, the Confucius Institute is managed by the U.S.-China Institute at Bryant University in collaboration with the China University of Geosciences at Wuhan.
