Film Studies
An Interest Area
One of the most popular forms of entertainment is watching movies, whether in a theater or the comfort of your home. A good film transports its viewer to a different world or time that offers laughter, insight, and emotional impact.
The Film Studies interest area delves beyond entertainment to critically reflect upon the historical, aesthetic, cultural, and social significance of movies. Students can take one or all of the courses in this interest area. These courses may be applied to your degree requirements or taken as electives.
