Global Supply Chain ManagementA Minor Today's competitive business environment is no longer defined by how one company competes with another, but by how supply chains compete with each other. The ability to manage complex global supply chains is key to success in the modern economy. Supply chain management involves coordinating and improving the flow and transformation of goods, services, information, and funds within companies and around the world, from raw materials to the final end user. It is an integrative strategy for complex business-to-business networks designed to enhance global competitiveness. The Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) minor requires four courses that prepares students to fill the increasing demand for supply chain management professionals. The GSCM minor provides students with a working knowledge of the integrative value-creating supply chain strategies necessary to compete in the global marketplace. Students can pursue an academic internship to fulfill one of the course requirements. Studying Global Supply Chain Management at BryantStudents will learn a process approach to integrating the key functions of marketing, logistics, operations management, computer information systems, accounting, and finance. Our interdisciplinary course of study transcends traditional business functionality and explores relationships that create value for multiple stakeholders across functions, organizations, and nations.
