Bryant University. The Character of Success

Marketing

A Concentration and Minor

Marketing is more than just advertisements you see on television and magazines or hear on the radio. Marketing is about creating positive relationships between a company or organization and their customers.

How do marketing professionals do this?

  • First, they identify what their customers need and want.
  • Then, they design products and services that satisfy their customers.
  • Once design is complete, they promote these products and services.
  • Last, they deliver them.

A marketing professional may be responsible for all of these steps or focus more specifically on research, product development, sales, advertising, or integrated marketing communication.

The Marketing concentration leads to a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. It includes six courses of in-depth study into all aspects of the marketing field.

The Marketing minor requires four courses which offer a critical understanding of this dynamic field.
