The Honors ProgramThe Bryant University Honors Program is a community of bright, achievement-oriented students and dedicated faculty committed to pursuing an enriched educational experience. The mission of the Program is to offer its members a unique, personalized experience to enrich their academic, social, cultural, and professional talents in a mentor-oriented environment. Each year, our most gifted applicants are invited to join the Bryant University Honors Program. They have distinguished themselves as exceptional members of their high school community through academics, extracurricular activities, athletics, and community service. These students are eager and willing to accept a non-traditional, expanded approach to the delivery of coursework by faculty who are passionate about teaching these accomplished students. The CourseworkCourses in The Honors Program offer challenges to students who are motivated to be exposed to new ideas through expanded classroom discussions and non-traditional assignments which apply theoretical concepts. The classes in The Honors Program are purposely kept small so students may develop relationships with some of the University's best professors as well as other students like themselves. The Senior Capstone Project is the terminal requirement of the Honors Program. Members are encouraged to choose an interdisciplinary topic that reflects their interest in a specific subject and will assist with a future career path or industry preference. We believe that the project will become an important experience for the graduating senior ready to compete in any business organization or planning to continue his or her studies in graduate school. The focus of The Honors Program coursework is not to "make the courses harder" but to cultivate an environment that integrates challenge with a purpose. QualificationsFor first-year students:
