Learning Disability Services

Schedule an appointment with the Assistant Director of Learning Disability Services at the start of each semester to discuss academic needs and requests for specific academic accommodations.

Provide current documentation of the specific learning disability.

Keep a personal copy of all testing and documentation submitted.

Bring an official course schedule to your appointment. A current official course schedule is required in order for the Assistant Director of Learning Disability Services to send accommodation request letters to faculty.

Report any schedule changes or add/drops to the Learning Specialist. If revisions of approved accommodation request letters are needed, the student must meet with the Assistant Director of Learning Disability Services to discuss all changes.

Within 5 (five) days of signing the Academic Accommodations Master Copy form, meet with each faculty member about the implementation of each specific academic accommodation.

Schedule a follow-up meeting with the Assistant Director of Learning Disability Services to report the arrangements agreed upon with each faculty member for each accommodation.

Schedule appointments with the Assistant Director of Learning Disability Services throughout the semester, as needed, to discuss ongoing academic needs and progress

Order taped texts, as needed. Remember to return borrowed tapes.

Schedule tutoring in specific content areas

Schedule an appointment at the Writing Center or attend Walk-In Hours
See the Writing Center receptionist or call extension 6567 to make an appointment.

Schedule an appointment with the Assistant Director of Learning Disability Services
See the Academic Center for Excellence receptionist to make an appointment. Bring your official course schedule, syllabi, textbooks, and all relevant course materials.

Attend Learning Labs: Accounting, Economics, Finance, or Math

Attend ACE Workshops

Communicate with Professors, especially during scheduled office hours
