Courtney Mannix
I am a freshman and my major is Marketing and my minor is Communication. As a student, my philosophy has always been about balance. When I have work to get done, I do the best I can, but I never let a project consume all of my time. As a working student it is important to stay organized.

Makena “Texas” Sage
I was born in Hawaii and raised in Texas, NYC and Germany. I was home-schooled K-12 before taking a gap-year to work in Austin and NYC. I am now a freshman International Business major and am loving being part of such a tight-knit community for the first time and exploring all that the campus and student body have to offer. I speak German and am working toward a minor in Spanish. I love to write, dance, read, meet new people and spend time with friends.

Melanie Schleeweis-Connor
I am a sophomore Communication major with a minor in Business Administration and a secondary concentration in Literary and Cultural Studies. I hope to someday pursue a career in print journalism, specifically magazines, combining my interests in writing and mass media. I work for the Reading for Writing program in which I aid international students in improving critical reading skills so as to better prepare for essay and analytical writing.
