Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Communication

The Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Communication includes twelve courses of in-depth study in the field of communication. The Department of Communication offers courses in three fields: interpersonal communication, mass communication, and electronic media production. Students also learn cutting edge theory and research in Communication, as well as how to apply that theory and research in real-world settings.

The Communication minor requires four courses and is available to all students. Students work with a faculty advisor to create a personalized course of study.

A minor in Film Studies

One of the most popular forms of entertainment is watching movies, whether in a theater or the comfort of your home. A good film transports its viewer to a different world or time that offers laughter, insight, and emotional impact. The Film Studies Minor requires four courses that delve beyond entertainment to critically reflect upon the historical, aesthetic, cultural, and social significance of movies.
