Directory Information

The items listed below are considered Directory Information and may be released for any purpose at the discretion of Bryant University:

Category 1:	Name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, telephone listing, date and place of birth
Category 2:	Major field of study and class schedule
Category 3:	Past and present participation in officially recognized sports and activities, including physical factors (ex. height and weight of athletes)
Category 4:	Dates of attendance
Category 5:	Distinguished academic performance, degrees, and awards received, including dates
Category 6:	Most recent previous educational agency or institution attended
Category 7:	Photographic view or electronic images

Under the provision of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), you have the right to withhold the disclosure of any or all of the categories of Directory Information.

If you wish to prevent the disclosure of any or all of the above categories of information, you must complete a Request to Prevent Disclosure of Directory Information form which may be obtained in the Office of Academic Records, MRC 202.

If the form is not submitted prior to the end of the add/drop period for your information not to be included in the Bryant directory for the semester.

A new form for non-disclosure must be completed each academic semester.

Please consider carefully the consequences of any decision by you to withhold any category of Directory Information. Regardless of the effect upon you, Bryant University assumes no liability for honoring your instruction to withhold any or all Directory Information.
