“Pillars of the Past”
Dunedin, New Zealand, July 10, 2009

Just days after landing in Dunedin and moving in to my flat, I caught a bus with my friend Grant out to St. Claire/St.Kilda beach.  We walked the entire stretch of the beach and climbed the cliffs at the end taking hours.  These abandoned posts are all that was left of a dock from I assume a long time ago, but I never did solve their mystery.  I also unfortunately never made it out to that island they are pointing to.  This was just one of the more intriguing and inviting photographic hot-spots around Dunedin.  This beach later became my usual surf spot during the semester.

“Falling Through It All”
Wanaka, New Zealand, August 23, 2009

This picture was taken while skydiving over Lake Wanaka with my brother the day before his 24th birthday.  He came out to visit for the week and gave me free range in booking activities, this started things off.  It was an exhilarating free fall from 12,000 feet over the lake, the country side, and the mountains.

"Morocco Cat"
Morocco, November 2009

This is one of my favorite pictures of my trip to Morocco. I’m not sure what it is about the photo that I like. It could be the cat relaxing and soaking up the heat of the sun or the contrast between the black and white. Whatever it is, I like it and I hope you do to!

"Born to be Wild"
 Chaing Rai, Thailand December 2009

While touring many of the legendary temples and mountains, we saw two young monastic children run outside of a shrine to become deeply fascinated by the tourists' motorcycle.  I could Only imagine their curiosity of the bike was similar to my own of them and their culture.

“365 Stairs have never been so worth it”
Stirling, Scotland, September 10, 2009

This picture was taken from the William Wallace Monument in Stirling. There are 365 stairs to get to the top. The stairwell has only enough room for one person and is spiraled all the way up. Once at the top you could see all of Stirling and University of Stirling. We also had the opportunity to eat lunch up there, a memorable lunch to say the least.
