In the world today, it is important to take the opportunity to cultivate a global perspective. Whether you are a Business or Arts/Sciences student, you will be going out into a workforce that requires an understanding for different cultures. With the current technology used in all industries, the world is much smaller and more connected than you may realize. There are a number of ways you can gain a more global perspective including:

• Studying Abroad
• Joining student groups with an international focus
• Participating in community service events
• Taking courses that contain a global component

Make plans to work closely with your academic advisor to explore the international education opportunities available to you. Taking these opportunities to expand your knowledge of different cultures can assist you in being successful in the “real world”. Visit the Intercultural Center (ICC) to learn about how to get involved in the multicultural events on campus.
