Program PlanningAs you go through your four years at Bryant University, there are a number of decisions to make when it comes to planning your academic program. The Undergraduate Advising Office provides multiple workshops as well as one-on-one advising to assist you with program planning. From Orientation through Graduation, we are available to work closely with you to be sure you are taking advantage of all the opportunities Bryant has to offer. Choosing Courses One of the first things involved in program planning is choosing courses. Academic Advisors are available before registration and throughout the semester to assist you in choosing courses that will be beneficial to you and assist you in determining your major/concentration and minor. Refer to these "Banner Tips" to help you navigate the Banner registration system. Declaring Major/Minor All students are required to declare their major at the end of their sophomore year. In order to officially declare your major, you must complete a “Major/Concentration Declaration Form”. You can get this form during an appointment with your Academic Advisor. The form must be completed and signed by the Department Chair/Coordinator for your major and then submitted to the Academic Records & Registration Office in MRC202. Resources Your academic advisor will assist you with any questions you may have and refer you to the appropriate office on campus. There are a number of campus resources available to assist you with studying abroad, internships, academic tutors and more. Undergraduate Advising Workshops The Undergraduate Advising Office continues to develop programs for students that will assist you in your academic planning. Your academic advisors will send e-mail and/or blackboard announcements to inform you of upcoming workshops throughout each year. Be sure to check your University E-mail, and Blackboard for important announcements. You can also become a fan of our Undergraduate Advising Facebook Page today!
