Payment PlansStudents and their families have 2 payment options available to them:
OPTION I
OPTION II
Tuition Management Systems (TMS) (800) 356-8329 The amount that is budgeted is based on the student's total expenses minus any financial aid and loans awarded to the student. An example of calculating a 10-month interest free payment plan is as follows: Step 1 Estimated Annual Expenses:
Tuition: $33,033 Total Annual Expenses: $45,972.00 Please note: It is important that enough funds are budgeted so that the bill is paid on a timely basis. Tuition and fees that are not budgeted must be paid on the said due dates under option one. Step 2 Calculate your Estimated Annual Deductions:
Grants $8,000 Total Annual Deductions $14,086 *This amount is the net loan amount for a freshman recipient receiving $2,625 loan award. Step 3 Subtract Total Deductions from Total Expenses to arrive at the annual payment plan amount:
Expenses $45,972 minus Annual Payment Plan $31,886 Step 4 Divide the annual payment plan amount by 10 to determine the monthly payment: $31,886 divided by 10 = $3,188.60 per month To enroll in the program, a family may contact TMS directly at the number listed above, enroll online at www.afford.com/bryant or contact the Bursar's Office for assistance. TMS counselors are informed of the institutional costs and it is also posted on the TMS website. The only cost to the family for this interest-free monthly payment option is a $65 enrollment fee. This enrollment fee includes life insurance, covering the payment balance. The use of this prepayment plan does not affect awards of financial aid. Payments under this plan must be made on a timely basis to Tuition Management Systems in order to avoid late fee assessments. The payment plan runs from May 1 and continues through February 1. However, Bryant University will allow a family to enroll in the plan after the May 1st start date.
A family can make their monthly payment to Tuition Management Systems by check, money order, or credit card through the mail, telephone or the internet. Automatic monthly payments may be made right from a family's checking or savings account for their convenience. It is not Bryant University's policy to grant extensions for tuition payments. If families are unable to pay under option I or option II, it is recommended that they contact the Office of Financial Aid to discuss borrowing alternatives. (Not available to Graduate or Part-Time Undergraduate students) |
