Communication Complex: TV Studio Information

  Completed in the winter of 2004/2005 Bryant University now hosts a state of the art, all digital, TV Production Studio. The facility contains one of the largest studio floors in Southern New England, a specially designed control room with extra space to allow for instruction, a complete suite of Avid editing rooms and a multimedia classroom. Below are links and information about the studio and its usage.

For Members of the Bryant Community

Those wishing to use the TV studio and/or related mobile production equipment will need to read the

The TV studio is a highly desirable outlet for creativity here on campus and since studio time and resources are in high demand. We ask that any member of the Bryant Community interested in creating a film project in the studio or by utilizing studio resources please follow the steps below:

-First, fill out the studio request sheet (PDF or MS Word). This document allows us to determine the scope of your production and determine what resources and time would need to be assigned to your production.
-Second, a committee will review your proposal.
-Third, if your proposal is accepted time and resources will be assigned, training will be done and shooting can begin.

Please Note: The biggest holdup of studio projects is people, having your own crew greatly helps here!!! Even if no one on the crew has production experience they can be trained and your project will have a much greater chance of being accepted.

For Renters

Renting the TV studio is simple, please fill out the studio rental request form (PDF or MS Word) and fill it out entirely. Please Note: Education is the primary mission of the studio to that end rental scheduling is done around class needs.

TV Studio Rental Rates:
$300 ½ day (approximately 4 hours) for Studio Floor rental
$200 ½ day (approximately 4 hours) for Control Room rental

Discounts:
-$50 per each ½ day Studio Floor rental for involving Bryant Students in the actual production process
-$50 per each ½ day Control Room rental for involving Bryant Students in the actual production process

*General availabilities will be posted as soon as scheduling for the fall 2006 semester is finalized.*

**Studio rental terms include the clause that members of the Bryant Community be able to observer productions. Observers will be kept to a small manageable number and will remain respectful of your production and set rules, however as the studio’s primary mission is academic this is a non-negotiable term. Discounts can be applied if you allow Bryant students to actually take part in the production either on or off screen.**
