Public PrintingAccess to public printers is provided in the basement of the Koffler Communications Complex, the first floor of the Bello Center Library, and the second floor of the Bryant Center. Additional printer station locations are planned for the 2011-2012 academic year. As part of their tuition package, all Bryant students receive $40.00 worth of public printing per academic year. Black and white printing is calculated at $.05 per page, and is available in both public lab locations. Color printing is calculated at $.50 per page, and is available only in the Bello Center. All Bryant issued laptops come with the Pharos pay-to-print software preloaded, which works over both wired and wireless networks. When a student wishes to print to a public printer, they simply need to decide whether they wish to print the document in black and white or color, and select the appropriate preinstalled printer. They will be automatically prompted for their Bryant email username and a title for their particular print job. They are shown their existing balance for public printing, and then the cost for their current print job. Once the student approves the job, they are then able to visit ANY printer on campus of the type selected to pick up their submitted print job. Printer stations are equipped with card readers allowing students to simply swipe their ID card and select any print job they have submitted within a 4 hour window to print. Student accounts are only charged for these released print jobs. Should a print job remain unreleased past the 4 hour window it will be automatically deleted from the printer queue. Bryant issued machines that were issued prior to Fall 2010 may need to upgrade their Pharos software. If you are unable to print to a public printer, please click here and follow the on-screen instructions. Bryant students who have brought Macintosh laptops or desktops with them to campus can connect to our public printers by following the instructions found here. |
