How can I connect my laptop wirelessly while on the Bryant campus?

Current Bryant students should use the newly created BryantUniversity wireless network for both their laptops and handheld devices. This uses the latest in security protocols, and ensures that only active graduate and undergraduate students can access protected resources.

Locate your network icon in the lower left hand corner of your screen, in your system tray. Left-click the icon and view the list of available wireless networks.

Select BryantUniversity from the list. Click the Connect button.
Make sure that the Connect automatically option is checked off.

You will then be prompted for your Bryant email username and password. Do not include @bryant.edu after your username! Click OK.
|
|
There will be a warning that the server's credentials could not be validated. Ignore this warning, and choose to connect.

Guests and visitors of the Bryant campus are welcome to use our guest wireless network.
On your laptop or device, simply select it from the list of available networks, which can be obtained by left-clicking the wireless network icon in the lower right-hand corner of your screen in the system tray.
From the list, select "BryantGuest_Password BryantGuest" and click the connect button. When prompted for the password, enter BryantGuest. It is case sensitive, so be sure to capitalize appropriately.

When you first open a web browser, you will be taken to the Bryant Registration page and asked to accept the terms of service.
Choose the "Guest without an Account" option by clicking either the hyperlink beneath or Start button to the right of this option.
You will then be prompted to enter your name and reason for visit to campus. Once you press Submit, you will see your network connection being reconfigured. You will then be prompted to close any open browser windows.
