Microsoft Campus AgreementBryant University has entered into an agreement with Microsoft which allows faculty and staff to use a number of Microsoft products on their home and office computer. The agreement is renewable annually.
What Software is included in the agreement?
Who can use the Software?The software is available for all currently employed Faculty and Staff at this time. Because Faculty and Staff use is tied to employment, faculty and staff will not have rights to use this software after they terminate employment with Bryant University. You must also sign a form acknowledging that you understand this agreement and stating that you will remove the software if you leave the University. How much will it cost me?To purchase a license and CD, please contact Bettie Weber at X6196 for pricing. Please note that purchasing a copy through the license agreement does not mean you own the license. You will still have to agree to remove the software from your system if you leave the University. How long is the contract going to last?The Campus Agreement is for 12 months, renewable every year for an additional 12 months. Although the University intends to continue this program, the terms change yearly based on the contract offered by Microsoft. What about Mac users?Unfortunately at this time, we do not offer software under the Microsoft License Agreement for Macs. How do I get Software installed on my office computer?All Bryant University owned systems come with the standard software already installed on them. For other software included in the agreement you can call the IT Help Desk at x24357 and as soon as a technician is available, it will be installed on your system. How do I get Software installed on my home computer?Please note that if you experience problems on you home system, the IT Help Desk will attempt to walk you through basic troubleshooting, but you are responsible for the installation. |
