Kilcup Hall (Residence Halls 7 & 8)
Residence Halls 7 & 8 are named after Dr. Ernest I. Kilcup, 1961H, and his wife Edna Kilcup. Dr. Kilcup was an active Bryant Trustee from1949-1961 and was President and Treasurer of the Davol Rubber Company. A Providence native, Kilcup attended Brown University. In 1937 he was awarded a Master of Science in Business Administration by Bryant. Kilcup died unexpectedly on July 10, 1961 at his home in Barrington, RI and Bryant awarded him an honorary degree on July 28, 1961 posthumously.

The first Kilcup Hall was located at 148 Hope Street on Bryant's former campus on the East Side of Providence. This Kilcup Hall was a classroom building which opened in September, 1961.
