Townhouse G was named after Captain Joseph Mowry -- one of the original settlers of the property that is is now Bryant University.

In this book there is also a picture of the original Mowry Mowry Homestead, circa 1967-72, Smithfield, RIhomestead (Google Page 79) built in 1708. This building is now know as Alumni House. The photo at the right is how the Mowry homestead looked circa1967 when it was given to Bryant by Earl Tupper.
