Bryant University. The Character of Success

J. Robert Hillier Water Jet

 Entry Jet Plaque
In February 1969, the firm of J. Robert Hillier, Architect and Campus Planner, was hired to design Bryant's new campus in Smithfield, RI. Upon completion of the project Hillier's gift to the campus was a water fountain for the pond closest to the main campus road, now called Jacobs Drive.

The water jet was installed just in time for Bryant's Smithfield campus dedication in April 1972.  In celebration of the school's 20th anniversary in Smithfield, Hillier received an honorary MBA at the 1992 commencement ceremonies.

Hillier was a Bryant trustee from 1992-1993 through 1996-1997.
