Community Language Classes

Chinese For Adults 
- Spring 2010

The class is designed for people who are interested in learning Chinese to gain the knowledge of the country with a rich history and culture, and those who are currently undertaking or pursuing a Chinese-related career. The class focuses on practical conversational Chinese while assisting students in building a solid foundation for language learning. Comprehensive knowledge of China’s history, culture and economy will be introduced in the classroom.

Time: Every Wednesday, 6:00-8:00pm, from March 17 to June 2, for 12 weeks.
Cost: $500/person (textbook included)
Location: Bryant Campus

Young Learner Chinese
- Spring 2010

This class introduces students to basic conversational Chinese as well as reading and writing skills. Emphasis will be given on immersing the students in the language and providing a good foundation of essential phrases and commonly-used vocabulary. The class will employ situational learning where the students learn and use Chinese in commonly-encountered situations. The course will also incorporate Chinese cultural issues associated with the language.

Time: Every Thursday, 6:30-8:00pm, from March 18 to June 3, for 12 weeks.
Cost: $300/person (textbook included)
Location: Bryant Campus

Private Tutoring

One-on-one Chinese instruction customized for each student's individual language level and schedule. Tutors are native Mandarin speakers with excellent English speaking capability.

Time: Flexible
Cost: $20/person. Discount will be given if more than one family member sign up.
