K-12 Chinese Programs

For K-12 Schools

After-school Chinese Enrichment Program

The Program enables students to acquire practical communication skills, develop competence and confidence, and experience the joy of learning Chinese. In the 8-week program, students are encouraged to recognize about 100 characters, learn to use Pinyin to pronounce Chinese words, and learn numbers and daily expressions, as well as some knowledge about Chinese culture.

Participating schools will be provided with professionally trained Chinese language teachers and cultural kits, including books, learning materials, and audio/video resources available at the Confucius Library.

"Chinese in Lunch Time" Program

A newly developed program for K-12 schools, the "Chinese in Lunch Time" program offers the opportunity to learn commonly used language skill and cultural knowledge in a creative and fun way during lunch breaks.

The Program can be customized to meet the unique needs of individual schools.
