The Center for Student InvolvementWelcome to the Center for Student Involvement web home! Are you interested in planning campus events? Do you want to expand your leadership skills? Are you committed to helping others in the community? Then this is your one stop shop for all of the information and resources you will need to get started! The Center for Student Involvement is dedicated to offering support, guidance, and programs to help you get involved at Bryant! Come See Us About…Student Organization Advisement & Support – The Center for Student Involvement assists students in managing the day to day activities of existing groups by providing advice regarding event planning, finances, marketing, and leadership development. In addition, the staff assists students who are interested in starting new clubs and organizations. Major Events – Annual campus events such as Orientation, Opening Weekend, Welcome Weekend, Homecoming, Parents & Family Weekend, Festival of Lights, Relay for Life, Spring Weekend, and the Rhode Island Special Olympics are coordinated through our office in conjunction with several different student organizations. Leadership Opportunities – Students are encouraged to join any of the more than ninety clubs at Bryant. We also coordinate leadership programs through the Linked Through Leadership Development Program: LEARN, LEAD, and CHANGE Institutes and Weekend Experiences (retreats), and the all-campus recognition banquet for student clubs and organizations. Community Service – Opportunities are available for students interested in learning and building leadership skills through involvement in community projects such as Helping Hands, annual Alternative Spring Break Trips, and blood drives. We have an office and database dedicated to helping students find service opportunities. Events Information – Axis TV is part of Bryant’s basic cable service. This bulletin board system posts announcements and events for the Bryant community. Contact the Center for Student Involvement to find out how to post events. Information on campus events can also be found on the Bryant University Calendar located on-line. Click on “News & Events” on the Bryant University homepage to find the updated calendar Publications – Our center publishes the Resource Guide for Clubs and Organizations on an annual basis. We also publish the Bulldog Bulletin on a monthly basis to inform clubs and organizations of the many events happening on campus. |
