Infectious Diseases

The purpose of this plan is to respond appropriately to infectious diseases.

Definitions

Infectious diseases of concern in this plan are SARS, meningococcal disease, tuberculosis, smallpox, anthrax, and other serious and contagious diseases.

Procedure

Appropriate Bryant University officials will be notified. The Director of Health Services or another Health Services staff member will be immediately contacted. That person will immediately contact the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) for direction on responding to the infectious disease situation.
