Handicapped Parking
Handicapped Parking
Bryant University provides reasonable designated disabled parking for those displaying the appropriate placard. State issued placards are honored on campus provided the placard is appropriately displayed.
Anyone requesting handicapped parking status on campus (who do not have a state issued placard) must submit a licensed physician's letter (on letterhead) indicating the need for disabled parking. Upon approval, a handicapped placard will be issued which is valid for 90 days. If the disability extends beyond the 90 days, the requester must reapply for a second pass submitting another physician's letter.
Please note that the bearer of the handicap placard must also display the "University" parking decal along with the placard.
Any unauthorized vehicle parked in a handicapped space is subject to a citation and immediate tow at the expense of the driver/owner.
Temporary Disabled Parking Permits
The Department of Public Safety will issue temporary handicapped placards up to a maximum of seven (7) calendar days. Requests for temporary permits will be reviewed on a case-by case basis and physician certification may be required.
Any unauthorized vehicle parked in a handicapped space is subject to a citation and immediate tow at the expense of the driver/owner.
