New Member Education
New Member Education (NME) is a series of four workshops/lectures that are offered to the new members of each fraternity and sorority. This mandatory series runs each fall semester and during the spring semester if at least one of the Greek organizations is taking in a new class. For the Spring 2007 semester, the topics that were covered with the new members included: hazing, stories from inmates at FMC Devens Prison, safe sex & sex education, and alcohol/peer pressure. It gives each new member class the opportunity to meet the other classes, as well as educates them on some basic topics.
