Bryant University. The Character of Success

New Member Education

New Member Education (NME) is a series of four workshops/lectures that are offered to the new members of each fraternity and sorority. This mandatory series runs each fall semester and during the spring semester if at least one of the Greek organizations is taking in a new class. For the Spring 2011 semester, the topics that were covered with the new members included: hazing, department of public safety on campus, and how to take an active role on campus. It gives each new member class the opportunity to meet the other classes, as well as educates them on some basic topics. New members are also required to participate in a philanthropy project during the four week process.
