Bryant University. The Character of Success

Scholarship

Education is the purpose of college. Bryant's fraternities and sororities realize this and therefore require a certain grade point average to be eligible for membership to any Greek organization on campus. Awards are given to the fraternity and sorority with the highest GPA, as well as to the new member classes with the highest GPA's. All Greek students are also eligible to win one of two Greek Life scholarships awarded annually. Each spring one Greek man and one Greek woman are awarded $400 for having the highest combined GPA for the previous spring and fall semesters.

Bryant Greeks are eligible to become members of The Order of Omega, a Greek National Honor Society. Starting in the Fall of 2004, Greek Life instituted mandatory study halls for all new members over the pledging period. Starting in the Spring of 2005, a study hall program was also instituted for all Greek students who had not achieved a 2.3 GPA for the previous semester.
