Bryant University. The Character of Success

Students With An Individual Emergency

At this point in time we are unable to accept any further early arrival requests. The university is in the process of cleaning up the campus from Hurricane Irene as well as supporting the staff who prepare the campus, who have been affected by the storm.

We respectfully ask that you arrive on the designated move-in for your class year.

Students who feel they have a personal emergency, can submit a request to arrive on campus prior to the opening day designated for their class year.

A request to arrive early is not a guarantee of early arrival and students should have an alternate plan in place. Very few requests are granted, as the buildings are still being prepared prior to official opening. Each request will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

Students are welcome to arrive at any point after their designated move-in day. If you cannot move to campus on your designated day, please plan to arrive at a later date.

Any request made for an arrival date which is prior to Wednesday August 31, 2011, will not be considered or reviewed for approval.

The deadline to submit an early arrival request is Friday August 19, 2011. Any request submitted after the deadline will not be reviewed nor honored.

Requests CAN NOT be granted on the following grounds:

  • You were granted early arrival in the past
  • Family/personal vacation
  • Attendance at a family event or function
  • Vacation of those helping you move or driving you to campus
  • Work/Internship
  • Wanting extra time to "set up"
  • Tickets to events/functions
  • Attendance at Bryant First Football Game
  • Sibling moving in at another school (arrangements should be made with the other college/university)
  • Roommate will be arriving early for athletic/leadership training
