Move-In/Move-Out

Bryant residence halls close during several break periods throughout the academic year. During these school break times, students must leave campus, and will not have access to the residence halls. Those students residing in the Townhouses do not need to leave campus as that area does not close during break periods.

Spring Break Closing Information

Residence Halls Close for Spring Break
Friday, March 5, 2010 at 5:00 pm

  • All students must vacate their rooms by 5pm on March 5th.
  • The last meal served will be lunch on the 5th.
  • Closing of the halls does not affect the townhouses.

Late Stay/Early Arrival Requests:

  • International students and others who are unable to leave on-time or go home for the Spring Break period are encouraged to make arrangements to stay with friends or relatives during this time. 
  • Students who cannot make such arrangements must submit an online request no later than Wednesday March 3rd, 2010.
  • Off campus work related issues will not be accepted as a reason for not departing. Please make arrangements with your employer in advance. Any questions should be directed to the Office of Residence Life.

Preparation of Rooms Before Leaving

  1. Make sure all doors and windows are LOCKED.
  2. Leave the window drapes OPEN.
  3. REMOVE all trash from rooms and suites
  4. REMOVE all holiday decorations.
  5. UNPLUG all electrical appliances except refridgerators and fish tanks and turn lights off.
  6. The Residence Life staff will be entering rooms, prior to and/or during break, to complete Fire, Health, & Safety Inspections 

 

REOPENING OF HALLS

 The residence halls will reopen at Noon on Sunday, March 14th.  Dining services will begin serving meals again, starting with dinner, on that evening.
