Read what alumni had to say about the first New Venture Competition:

"The New Venture Competition gave me a huge surge of confidence and encouragement....  I am now a semi-finalist in the RI Business Plan Competition, which I would never have even considered entering before the Alumni Venture Competition.  I am so thankful for Bryant's support, both as a student and now as an alumni, and I feel really fortunate to belong to such a great community."~Stephen Fitch '09-

"For me, participation in the event was probably more valuable than the prize itself.  It would have been nice to win, but the direct and indirect feedback was the most valuable and helpful part." ~Joel Mazza '95

"Thank you very much for a job well done in coordinating a successful, challenging, and rewarding competition.  It was a wonderful opportunity to network with like minded entrepreneurial types and to get valuable outside-looking-in perspective on over a year and a half's worth of work.  I got a chance to talk extensively with each of the judges and I got a lot of useful feedback as well as contacts.  I look forward to getting more."~G. Ayo Sopitan '05

"The New Venture Competition also showed the importance where alumni can help to accelerate the growth of the new business plans presented, potentially saving these entrepreneurs from some classic mistakes and hard lessons that some of us have made." ~Brian Cowley '82

"I fully expect this event to be the beginning of a substantial and successful program.  Entrepreneurship has always driven our economy, and Bryant is taking the right steps to position itself as a leader.  From the success of our C.E.O. chapter to the newly-established courses and concentration to this inaugural competition, Bryant is, as usual, right on track.  This event and its future growth have the added benefits of assisting and engaging more alumni, as well as providing students yet another opportunity for networking." ~Jay Weinberg '85

"The competition highlighted the entrepreneurial spirit of our alumni.  These types of events forge closer connections among faculty and alumni.  I enjoyed meeting and learning about many of our alumni entrepreneurs and investors.  I'm especially grateful to all the sponsors of our inaugural competition."~ Dr. Mike Roberto
