GERTRUDE METH HOCHBERGAn early visionary, Gertrude Meth Hochberg made a personal commitment to be a role model for women students at Bryant. Beginning with her position as director of public relations in 1949, and later as vice president of the College, Hochberg was a lifelong advocate for women's issues. In a letter to President Machtley in 1999, Hochberg wrote: "The designation of Bryant as a Women's Center is an idea whose time has come. The College's advocacy of women as business leaders has distinguished this institution since its founding in 1863." |
