SCIENCE LABS

The new science labs support Bryant's growing Science and Technology department which recently added three degrees: undergraduate and graduate degrees in Environmental Science, and an undergraduate degree in Biology. Beyond science majors, the new space impacts the entire student body as all students must take two science courses, one involving a laboratory as part of our graduation requirements.

Science Lab Features

The 8,300 sq. ft. science complex features two large wet labs able to accommodate 24 students each and an advanced wet laboratory, which accommodates 16 students. The complex is equipped with:

  • Sinks and natural gas feeds
  • Data jacks and outlets at each seat
  • Wireless internet access and other technology infrastructure needed to support virtual experiments
  • An analytical room, which houses large research equipment
  • A common area with soft seating and display cases for presentations and notices

Surrounding the analytical room and common area are six individualized research labs, tailored for faculty/student collaborations as part of an undergraduate research initiative.

The science complex has been designed by CBT Architects of Boston and built by Shawmut.
