Leadership Council

Established leaders are nominated to become one of six members of the Leadership Council. They serve one-year positions and are responsible for planning and implementing leadership programs on campus.

Established leaders can also be selected to serve on the 14 person Emerging Leader lead team. Students serve a three-month term to help plan and conduct the emerging leader retreat.

Leadership Society

The Leadership Society allows students to learn more about what it takes to be a leader by participating in on- and off-campus events, including training sessions for other student organizations on leadership development.

As students learn and grow, they are awarded different leadership levels, including CEO, manager, and associate. Leaders are recognized at an annual Recognition Banquet, held each spring.

Student Alumni Association

The Student Alumni Association (SAA) works with the Office of Alumni Relations to connect current Bryant students with alumni at networking and cultural events throughout the academic year.

Major events include the Festival of Lights and the Student Alumni Networking Series. SAA members also participate in various service activities to preserve the history of Bryant University.

Student Programming Board

The Student Programming Board plans campus events throughout the year, including concerts, guest speakers, and late night activities.

Student Senate

The Student Senate is the governing student body and works closely with students and administration.

At the beginning of each academic year, first year students have the opportunity to run for a seat on the Student Senate.

In order to be on the ballot, all aspiring candidates must collect 100 signatures, write a platform, and give a speech to their fellow classmates. Six senators are elected by their fellow classmates.

Yearly elections for upperclassmen are conducted at the end of the academic year.

For more information, contact the Student Senate at (401) 232-6271 or visit http://web.bryant.edu/~senate.
