Strategic Vision 20/20 (adopted 2012)

Bryant today is the culmination of nearly 150 years of continuous growth and innovation. Throughout the University’s history, our rigorous and innovative academic programs have integrated theory and practice in relevant and meaningful ways that empower our students and are highly valued in the marketplace. Building on the growth and momentum of the past 15 years, Vision 20/20 will guide us on path to an even stronger, enduring future. 

Strategic Pillars 

  • Integration of Academic and Student Life: Putting multi-disciplinary theory into meaningful practice in all parts of the Bryant experience, both inside and beyond the classroom

Integration of Academic-Student Life Plan

  • Excellent, rigorous, and innovative academic and student life programs to prepare students for success
  • Development of new academic programs to meet market demand and provide greater career opportunities for students (e.g., health sciences)
  • A leader in the development and use of new educational delivery methods and technologies to promote creative collaborations among faculty and students
  • Promotion of character education to instill self-confidence and maturity in our students, who will represent high ethical standards and the qualities of character required for success in a complex global economy

Internationalization/Global Perspectives

  • Increasingly diverse student population
  • Cultivating a global perspective in all students through study abroad, the Sophomore International Experience, internships with global companies, and exposure to diverse cultures

Facilities and Technology

  • Continue building and sustaining a modern, energy efficient campus among the most beautiful and welcoming in the United States
  • Construct additional academic, athletic, and student life facilities to enhance the campus and provide new classroom, athletic, and co-curricular spaces
  • Develop internationally-distinct facilities to represent Bryant's growing global character

Expand Alumni Engagement& Fundraising

  • Implement programs of alumni engagement to foster lifelong relationships and enhance the value of the Bryant degree
  • Institute programs for public recognition of the important contributions of alumni who have made a significant and positive difference in the world
  • Public launch and successful completion of Bryant’s second comprehensive capital campaign to secure Bryant's bold future

Talent Management

  • Recruit, develop, and retain outstanding faculty who are leading teacher-scholars in their fields of expertise
  • Serve as an employer of choice to attract the best staff from New England and nationwide to bring fresh perspectives to the institution
