Heather Pond Lacey

I grew up in Berkeley, California. I received my B.A. in 1996 in Psychology from California State University East Bay (Formerly, CSU Hayward) where I discovered a love of experimental research. I moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1997 to attend graduate school at the University of Michigan. I received my M.A. in 1999 and my Ph.D. in 2003 in the Cognition & Perception program in psychology, studying reading and language processes and memory in social relationships. In post-doctoral study, I joined the Center for Behavioral and Decision Sciences in Medicine, a joint program in the UM Medical School and the Veterans Affairs Hospital, studying health-related decision making. In 2006, I joined the faculty at Bryant University in Smithfield, RI where I have continued my research in decision making.
