Program Overview

The Bryant Master of Professional Accountancy (MPAc), Master of Professional Accountancy with a tax concentration (MPAc-Tax) or Master of Professional Accountancy with an analytics concentration (MPAC-Analytics) provide accounting students with the distinct advantage of cutting-edge knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in today's competitive business environment.

Bryant's MPAc program combines a solid foundation in accounting with courses that build professional skills. Bryant's MPAc graduates complete 30 credits of advanced study which help to satisfy the 150-hour requirement for CPA licensure, while preparing graduates for successful careers in accounting.

  • The tax concentration is designed for students who want to combine advanced accounting courses with courses in taxation.
  • The analytics concentration is designed for students who want to combine advanced accounting courses with additional courses in data analytics.
  • Either one can be completed in as little as two terms.

This is a full-time, 10-course program designed for accounting graduates.

In addition to the application form, you will need to submit a statement of objectives, current resume, one accounting faculty recommendation, official transcripts from all colleges / universities you have attended and your application fee (waived for Bryant alumni). 

An international applicant is defined as any person that requires a student visa to study in the United States. International applicants are eligible to apply to any graduate program, provided they have successfully completed the equivalent of a United States bachelor’s degree and have the appropriate diplomas and/or satisfactory results on transcripts or leaving examinations from the country in which the degree was earned. International applicants must complete all program-specific application requirements as well as all additional international application requirements outlined below.

English Proficiency

All applicants whose primary language is not English (or for whom English is not one of their primary languages) are required to submit proof of satisfactory English proficiency. Exceptions will be made if the applicant completed an undergraduate or graduate degree at a regionally accredited institution within the U.S., or if the language of instruction for an earned undergraduate or graduate degree was entirely in English. At this time, the only acceptable forms of proof for English proficiency are the TOEFL, IELTS, and Duolingo English Test, with minimum score requirements listed below.

  • TOEFL iBT: 85
  • IELTS: 6.5
  • Duolingo English Test: 115

An official score report must be sent directly from the examination organization to the Graduate Programs Office at Bryant University (TOEFL School Code: 3095).

Designed for students who want to combine advanced accounting courses with additional courses in taxation. May be completed full-time in two semesters: Summer/Fall or Summer/Summer. Applicants must be (or about to become) a graduate of an accredited undergraduate accounting program. The four required tax courses are: Individual Income Taxation; Sales, Exchanges and Other Dispositions; Corporations and Shareholders; and Partnership Income Tax Problems.
