Bryant Zhuhai students arrive Aug. 5 for Sophomore International Experience in U.S.
A group of 66 Bryant Zhuhai sophomores will soon travel to Bryant Smithfield’s campus to begin their 14-day Sophomore International Experience (SIE).
Bryant Zhuhai’s SIE trip to America is part of the University’s signature program that includes a three-credit course exploring historical, cultural, language, and business that culminates in a faculty-led visit to countries around the world. More than 2,000 students from Bryant’s Smithfield campus have visited countries in Asia, South America, Australia, Europe, and Africa through SIE. Bryant Zhuhai’s SIE trip to the United States allows students to experience American culture and learn about education and business in the United States.
Last year’s SIE trip for Bryant Zhuhai’s inaugural class inspired 18 students to transfer and continue their studies at Bryant’s Smithfield campus.
Bryant Zhuhai, located in Guangdong Province, China, welcomed its historic first class in fall 2015. The unique international undergraduate program was created in collaboration with Beijing Institute of Technology Zhuhai (BITZH) to educate both Chinese and U.S. students. More than half of Bryant Zhuhai’s inaugural class participated in the first Zhuhai SIE last year.
Bryant Zhuhai students begin their SIE on August 5 at Bryant’s Smithfield campus with welcoming activities hosted by Bryant Smithfield leaders, faculty, and student mentors. Their time on campus includes a lecture series presented by Bryant Smithfield faculty who will discuss American business culture, mass media in the U.S., American culture, politics and the 2016 election, and more.
